Welcome to the site of La Magie de Heidamy Leonbergers.
We breed only Leonbergers and our name "HEIDAMY" comes from the names of our first two Leonbergers who were called "HEIDI" and "AMY". They were indeed magical and were the start of our love affair with this incredible breed.
We have been involved with Leonbergers since 1996 and have shown our dogs successfully in England, Spain and France, which is now our new country of residence.
Apart from showing our dogs we have always been interested in developing their working capabilities and have done a lot of training, obedience, carting, water training, agility and tracking. We consider that one of the joys of owning Leonbergers is the fact that they are so versatile and enjoy many activities.
Our aim is to breed top quality Leonbergers, primarily to become good family companion dogs. We consider that a good temperament is vital for a giant breed and, therefore, we breed for both type and temperament.
All our dogs live in the house and our puppies are born and raised in the home, giving us the opportunity to begin their socialisation right from the start.
We have a life-long commitment to our puppies and will always be available for on-going help and advice.
We adhere to the standards of the Club Francais du Leonberg and the FCI and, in the best interests of our dogs, will only sell our puppies to approved new homes.
